It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! EARLY ACCESS to the Norstrom Anniversary Sale went live this morning for card holders – this means if you have a Nordstrom credit OR debit card, you’re shopping the full sale before it opens to the general public on the 22nd.
Incase you’re unfamiliar with this annual sale, let me break it down for you…Nordstrom marks down all NEW fall items to crazy low prices for a short period of time before they return everything to normal pricing [on August 7]. So it’s the perfect time to start building your fall wardrobe, grab all the home decor you’ve been eyeing or if you’re an exceptionally organized shopper – start snagging Christmas presents for everyone now! This is the only time you’ll see some of these dramatically low prices on certain designer brands like: Tory Burch, Nike, Ted Baker, Vince, Stuart Weitzman, Kate Spade, etc.
I’m going to be covering my “must have’s” from each category of the sale as it goes on – but for all of you early access shoppers, I wanted to do a quick overview of my favorite things that I’m placing in my shopping cart before they sell out!
The 4th Weekend is all about having fun & celebrating our country in the most American way – with food, fireworks & pool floats, of course! Whether you’re headed to the beach, a BBQ or a pool party; I’m rounding up my favorite festive items *and* some fun recipes you can use to impress your friends!

“RED WHITE & BLUE SANGRIA”
In a giant pitcher, combine 2 cups blueberries, 1 cup raspberries, and 1 pound hulled and halved strawberries. Add 1 bottle white wine and 1 cup grape juice. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Layer strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and star-shaped apple slices in glasses, then fill the glasses with the sangria. Top with sparkling wine of your choice!
“RED WHITE & BAMBOOZLED SHAKE”
Stir 4 tablespoons strawberry jelly until smooth and transfer to a small squeeze bottle or piping bag with a plain tip (hack: use a Ziploc bag with one of the corner snipped off). Swirl the strawberry jam onto the inside of your glass. Place 4 large scoops vanilla ice cream, 1 ounce Jack Daniel’s whiskey, and 4 tablespoons blueberry jam in a blender and blend until smooth. (Let the ice cream melt slightly before blending.) Fill the glass with the blended shake and garnish with whipped cream, freeze-dried blueberries, and freeze-dried strawberries.
